HP Printer Cartridges : How to Refill the HP 45 Black Ink Cartridge

The HP 45 ink cartridge can be refilled by inflating the center bladder and pushing in 10 milliliters of ink with a syringe. Pressurize the ink bladder of the HP 45 cartridge before replacing it with help from an employee of an ink-filling station in this free video on HP printer cartridges….

First you asked to push that ball inside. At the end, you want to close the opening with that ball [bb?]. How is that possible?

  2. merakhagen

Exactly, this video is then completely useless without that crucial step.

I am assuming then that i need a spare ball as the ball that was there is already pushed inside?

if you look at 1:09 he turns it over and the ink spills!

of course it does. That is because the air pressure inside the compartment is smiliar to that outside.
Once the ink flows out. The air pressure inside the compartment lowers…
the air pressure at the point where ink flows keeps it steady. Air wants to get in… but can’t. Thus keeping the ink steady.
Or at least that is the logic of suction.

There is a video on refilling the cartriges hp 78, where the chick does not cork the air entrance. i don’t get how that works.
